Nicorette Invisi Patch 10mg is a Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) product designed to help smokers reduce their nicotine intake and manage cravings while quitting smoking. This seven-patch pack provides one week's supply and is used during the step-down stage of a stop-smoking programme, after the earlier treatment stages.

How It Works

The patch provides a controlled release of nicotine over a 16-hour period to help manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms during the day. It is discreet and easy to use and is removed overnight.

Who Is This Medicine For?

This medicine can be used by a person aged 18 years and over. If being used by a person aged under 18 years, you need to contact us first before purchasing and we will discuss your treatment options.

The 10mg patch is a step-down strength. Do not select it solely because you smoke fewer than 10 cigarettes a day; ask your pharmacist which starting strength and treatment programme are appropriate for you.

How to Use

1. Wash your hands before use.
2. Apply one patch to a clean, dry, hair-free area of skin on the hip, upper arm or chest. It is best to apply the patch in the morning.
3. Leave on for 16 hours and then remove it.
4. Wait 8 hours before applying the next patch.
5. Vary the application site. We advise against applying it to the same spot on successive days.
6. Wash your hands after use.

Step-Down Treatment

If you have been smoking less than 20 cigarettes per day, the supplied directions state that you should use this product for 4 weeks, having previously used Nicorette Invisi Patch 15mg for 8 weeks in Step 1.

If you have been smoking more than 20 cigarettes per day and have completed Step 1 and Step 2, the supplied directions state that you should use this product for 2 weeks before stopping completely.

Combination Use

In certain cases, a Nicorette patch may be used alongside another Nicorette product for additional support. Ask your pharmacist whether combination treatment is suitable for you and which products and strengths to use. Follow the relevant patient information leaflets.

Side Effects and Precautions

Do not continue to smoke while using Nicorette Invisi Patch 10mg. Contact us before using if you have any heart, circulatory or stomach problems, or if you are using any prescribed medicines.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you might be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

If you are pregnant, ideally you should try to give up smoking without NRT. If you cannot manage this, you can use NRT as the risks to your baby are far less than smoking; however, you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

Storage and Disposal

• Do not store above 25°C.
• Do not use after the expiry date marked on the pack.
• Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
• Return all unused or out-of-date medicines to your pharmacy for safe disposal.
• After use, place the patch in an empty sachet or aluminium foil and dispose of it where children or animals cannot reach it.
