This formula is ideal if you experience:
Instil 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) as needed throughout the day and blink. Wash hands before use. Avoid letting the dropper tip touch your eye or any surface to prevent contamination. Replace the cap securely after each use.
Systane® ULTRA has a slightly higher viscosity than a standard watery drop. Some users notice a brief thicker sensation or mild blurring on application — this settles within moments and is what allows the formula to stay on the eye longer. Also available in a preservative-free formulation (10ml bottle and vials).
Polyethylene Glycol 400, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxypropyl Guar, Sorbitol, Aminomethylpropanol, Boric Acid, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, and POLYQUAD™ (Polyquaternium-1) 0.001% as preservative.
How is Systane® ULTRA different from Systane® ULTRA Preservative-Free?
Systane® ULTRA contains a very small quantity of the preservative POLYQUAD™ (0.001%). The Preservative-Free version uses PureFlow™ technology in a multi-dose bottle and contains no preservative — ideal for those with sensitive eyes or who use drops very frequently.
Can Systane® ULTRA be used with contact lenses?
Yes — the 10ml Systane® ULTRA formula is suitable for use with contact lenses.
How long does Systane® ULTRA last after opening?
Check the product leaflet for specific guidance, but as a general rule, multi-dose preserved eye drops should be discarded 28 days after opening.
