How It Works

A healthy vagina is naturally acidic. With BV, the balance of vaginal bacteria changes and the pH can rise, allowing other bacteria to become more dominant.

Balance Activ supplies lactic acid, helping return the vagina to its normal acidic environment. Its glycogen component supports beneficial lactobacilli, helping restore the normal vaginal flora.

How to Use

For treatment of BV:

1. Use 1 tube daily for 7 days.
2. It is best used at bedtime.
3. Twist off the cap.
4. Insert the entire neck of the tube gently into the vagina.
5. Squeeze out the contents.
6. Remove the tube while continuing to squeeze, then discard it.
7. Some leakage can occur, so wearing a panty liner may be helpful.

Full Ingredients

Purified Water, Propylene Glycol, Lactic Acid, Methylhydroxypropyl Cellulose, Sodium Lactate, Glycogen.

The gel has a pH of 3.8 and contains no preservatives or hormones.

Important Information

Balance Activ is intended specifically for symptoms associated with BV rather than vaginal thrush. Because different vaginal conditions can cause similar symptoms, seek advice from a pharmacist or doctor if you are unsure what is causing the discharge, odour or irritation.
