BENYLIN 4 Flu Tablets combine three active ingredients to relieve common cold and flu symptoms. Paracetamol helps ease aches, pains and fever, pseudoephedrine hydrochloride helps clear a blocked nose, and diphenhydramine hydrochloride helps relieve sneezing, a runny nose and coughing.
Also contains sunset yellow (E110) and sodium.
Swallow the tablets whole with water, leaving at least four hours between doses.
Do not take more than 4 doses in 24 hours or use for more than 5 days without medical advice. Do not take with any other paracetamol, cough, cold, decongestant or antihistamine medicine.
Do not use if you are allergic to paracetamol, pseudoephedrine, diphenhydramine or any other ingredient. Do not use if you have heart disease or high blood pressure, diabetes, an overactive thyroid, phaeochromocytoma, glaucoma or severe kidney problems.
Do not use if you take beta-blockers, other sympathomimetics such as stimulants, appetite suppressants or decongestants, other diphenhydramine products, or MAOI/RIMA antidepressants now or within the last 2 weeks. Do not use for children under 10.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Use is generally not recommended.
Common side effects include drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness and difficulty sleeping. Stop use and seek medical advice if you have an allergic reaction, a fast or irregular heartbeat, or any of the urgent warning signs above.
