Benylin Dry Coughs Syrup

Benylin Dry Coughs Syrup soothes and relieves dry, irritating coughs, starting to work the moment you swallow. It combines dextromethorphan, a cough suppressant, with diphenhydramine, an antihistamine that relieves coughing and dries up secretions in the nose and chest, and levomenthol to help ease stuffiness so breathing feels easier.

How to Use

1. For oral use only.
2. Adults and children aged 12 years and over: two 5ml spoonfuls 3 to 4 times a day.
3. Do not take more than 4 doses in 24 hours.
4. Not suitable for children under 12 years.

Warnings

• Do not exceed the stated dose.
• May cause drowsiness. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery.
• Avoid alcoholic drinks. This product may increase the effects of alcohol and other central nervous system depressants.
• Do not use for a persistent or chronic cough, such as with smoking, asthma or emphysema, or if the cough comes with excessive phlegm, unless directed by a doctor.
• Consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking any other medication or being treated for a medical condition.
• If pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before use.
• Children should be supervised while taking this product.
• If symptoms persist, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Storage

• Do not store above 30°C. Keep the bottle tightly closed.
• Do not use if the bottle seal is broken when purchased.

Ingredients

Active ingredients (per 5ml): Diphenhydramine hydrochloride 14mg, Dextromethorphan hydrobromide 6.5mg, Levomenthol 2mg.

Also contains: Liquid glucose, sucrose, ethanol, glycerol, sodium citrate, saccharin sodium, citric acid monohydrate, sodium benzoate (E211), caramel (E150), raspberry flavour, carbomer, Ponceau 4R (E124) and water. Contains 5% ethanol (alcohol).
