Bonjela Teething Gel is a clear oromucosal gel formulated to provide fast, soothing relief from the pain and discomfort of infant teething. Applied directly to sore gums, it contains two active ingredients: Choline Salicylate 8.714% w/w for analgesic and anti-inflammatory action, and Cetalkonium Chloride 0.010% w/w, an antiseptic that helps fight bacteria and prevent infection.

Suitable for babies and children from 4 months of age, it can also be used for mouth ulcers and sore spots caused by orthodontic devices in children.

How to Use

For children from 4 months: Using a clean finger, gently massage a pea-sized amount of gel onto the sore area. Apply no more frequently than once every 3 hours when required. Do not apply more than 6 doses in any 24-hour period.

Not suitable for babies under 4 months of age. If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 7 days, seek medical advice.

Warnings

• Do not use in babies under 4 months of age.
• Do not use if the child is allergic to choline salicylate, cetalkonium chloride or any other ingredient. Do not use while taking aspirin or another salicylate unless directed by a doctor.
• Do not use in people with an active or recurrent history of stomach ulcers, or in children/adolescents under 16 currently suffering from chickenpox or influenza.
• Do not exceed 6 doses in 24 hours. Excessive application can result in salicylate toxicity.
• If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 7 days, seek medical advice.
