A pulse oximeter measures two things: your blood oxygen saturation (SpO₂) — the percentage of haemoglobin in your blood carrying oxygen — and your pulse rate in beats per minute. A normal SpO₂ reading is typically 95–100%. Readings below 92% may warrant medical attention.

Is it suitable for children?

How accurate is it?

How do I get an accurate reading?
For best results, sit still and rest your hand at heart level. Avoid using the device immediately after exercise or if your hands are very cold. Nail polish or artificial nails may affect accuracy — use a different finger if needed.
What batteries does it use?
The Braun Pulse Oximeter 1 uses 2 × AAA batteries, which are included in the box.
Does it switch off automatically?
Yes. The device powers off automatically after use to conserve battery life.
Can I use it to monitor my oxygen levels during exercise?
The device is designed for resting use. For accurate readings, take measurements while seated and at rest. Readings taken during movement may be less reliable.
