Brolene Eye Ointment is a sterile, pale-yellow anti-infective eye ointment containing dibrompropamidine isetionate 0.15% w/w. It is used for minor local infections affecting the superficial structures of the eye or eyelid caused by susceptible microorganisms. Typical symptoms include sore, red or inflamed eyes, stickiness and crusting around the eyelids.
Cleanse the affected area and apply the ointment to the eyelid or conjunctival sac once or twice daily. Wash your hands before application and avoid allowing the tip of the tube to touch the eye or surrounding surfaces.
Do not continue treatment for more than 2 days without medical advice. If there is no significant improvement within 2 days, or symptoms worsen, seek medical advice promptly.

Do not wear contact lenses while using Brolene Eye Ointment.
Stop treatment and seek advice if redness, inflammation or irritation becomes worse. Seek prompt medical attention if your vision is affected.
Temporary blurred vision may occur immediately after application. Do not drive or operate machinery until your vision is clear.
Contains wool fat (lanolin), which can cause local skin reactions such as contact dermatitis in sensitive individuals.
