Brupro for Children 3+ Months is an orange-flavoured ibuprofen suspension formulated for babies and children from 3 months of age and weighing at least 5kg. Each 5ml contains Ibuprofen 100mg, providing short-term relief from fever and mild to moderate pain.

It can be used for symptoms including teething pain, toothache, earache, headache, sore throat, minor muscular aches, sprains, and pain and fever associated with colds and flu. Supplied with an oral dosing syringe for accurate measurement.

Key Ingredient

• Ibuprofen 100mg/5ml – A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties. Helps relieve pain and reduces raised body temperature associated with fever.

How to Use

Shake the bottle well before use. Measure the required dose carefully using the oral syringe supplied.

The dose should be based on the child's age and body weight. Dosing is generally based on 7–10mg/kg per dose, up to a maximum total daily dose of 30mg/kg. Allow at least 6 hours between doses and do not exceed the recommended maximum daily dose.

• Babies aged 3–5 months: Seek medical advice if symptoms worsen or have not improved within 24 hours.
• Children aged 6 months and over: Seek medical advice if the medicine is required for more than 3 days or symptoms worsen.

Warnings

• Do not give to babies under 3 months of age or weighing less than 5kg.
• Do not use if the child is allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin, other NSAIDs or any ingredient, or has previously experienced asthma, breathing difficulties, facial swelling, hives or another allergic reaction after taking aspirin or another NSAID.
• Do not use in children with severe dehydration, severe kidney, liver or heart failure, certain bleeding disorders, active bleeding, or a history of recurrent stomach/duodenal ulceration or gastrointestinal bleeding.
• Do not give at the same time as another medicine containing ibuprofen or another NSAID unless specifically advised by a healthcare professional.
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration. Maintain at least 6 hours between doses.
• For infants aged 3–5 months: seek medical advice within 24 hours if symptoms persist, or sooner if symptoms worsen.
• For children aged 6 months and over: seek medical advice if treatment is required for longer than 3 days or symptoms worsen.
• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
