Buscopan 10mg Tablets 20s

Buscopan 10mg Coated Tablets contain hyoscine butylbromide, an anti-spasmodic medicine that relieves abdominal cramps, pain and discomfort associated with the digestive tract and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). It works by relaxing the cramping muscles of the stomach and bowel.

How to Use

Relief of gastrointestinal spasm — Adults and children 12+:

• 2 tablets (20mg) four times daily

IBS symptom relief — Adults and children 12+:

• Starting dose: 1 tablet up to three times daily
• May be increased to 2 tablets four times daily if necessary
• If symptoms do not improve or worsen after 2 weeks, consult your doctor

Not recommended for children under 12 years. Do not take continuously or for extended periods without investigating the cause of abdominal pain.

Warnings

• Consult your pharmacist or doctor immediately if abdominal pain persists or worsens, or is accompanied by fever, nausea, changes in bowel movements, blood in stools, abdominal tenderness or faintness
• Seek advice before use if this is your first episode of IBS symptoms
• Seek advice if you are 40+ and symptoms have changed or recurred after a gap
• Not suitable for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding
