Dioralyte Rebalance Blackcurrant is an oral rehydration treatment designed to replace essential water and body salts lost through diarrhoea and dehydration. Key Ingredients

Each sachet contains:

• Glucose 3.56g – Helps facilitate the absorption of sodium and water from the intestine.
• Sodium Chloride 0.47g – Provides sodium and chloride to help replace electrolytes lost through diarrhoea.
• Potassium Chloride 0.30g – Helps replenish potassium lost during gastrointestinal fluid loss.
• Disodium Hydrogen Citrate 0.53g – Provides additional sodium and citrate as part of the balanced oral rehydration formulation.

Each sachet contains 278.6mg sodium.

How to Use

• Dissolve the entire contents of one sachet in exactly 200ml (approximately 7 fl oz) of drinking water. Using the correct quantity of water is important to obtain the appropriate electrolyte concentration.
• Adults, including the elderly: Take 1 or 2 sachets after each loose motion, with each sachet dissolved separately in 200ml of water. More may be required initially to ensure adequate fluid replacement.
• Children: Give 1 sachet after each loose motion, prepared in 200ml of water.
• Infants under 1 year: Use only on medical advice.
• For infants and where safe drinking water is unavailable, use freshly boiled and cooled water.
• When vomiting occurs with diarrhoea, give the prepared solution in small, frequent amounts.
• The prepared solution should ideally be used within 1 hour. It may be kept for up to 24 hours when refrigerated at 2–8°C.

Ingredients

Each sachet contains: Sodium Chloride 0.47g, Potassium Chloride 0.30g, Glucose 3.56g, Disodium Hydrogen Citrate 0.53g.

Other ingredients include colloidal anhydrous silica, saccharin sodium and blackcurrant flavour. The blackcurrant flavour contains ethanol; the amount is less than 100mg per dose.

Suitable For

Indicated for infants, children and adults for the oral correction of fluid and electrolyte loss of gastrointestinal origin, including the management of watery diarrhoea. Children up to 2 years of age should only be treated on medical advice.

Particularly useful when diarrhoea has resulted in the loss of both water and essential body salts, where replacing water alone may not adequately restore electrolyte balance.
