Dozol Oral Solution is a sugar-free, oral solution containing Paracetamol 120mg and Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride 12.5mg per 5ml. It is indicated for children aged over 2 years for the relief of teething pain, aches and pains, feverishness, irritability associated with injections or fever, and sleeplessness associated with these conditions.

The combination provides the analgesic and antipyretic effects of paracetamol together with the sedating antihistamine action of diphenhydramine. Dozol is intended for short-term use and is not recommended for routine use.

How to Use

• Leave at least 6 hours between doses and do not give more than 4 doses in any 24-hour period.
• Do not give to children under 2 years.
• Intended for short-term use only and not recommended for routine use.

Each 5ml contains: Paracetamol 120mg, Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride 12.5mg.

Other ingredients include macrogol 4000, glycerol, propylene glycol, sorbitol liquid (E420), maltitol liquid (E965), neohesperidin dihydrochalcone, saccharin sodium, ethyl parahydroxybenzoate (E214), methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), annatto extract, Ponceau 4R (E124) and purified water.

Warnings

• Do not give to children under 2 years of age.
• Contains paracetamol. Do not give with any other paracetamol-containing medicine.
• Do not use alongside another medicine containing diphenhydramine or another antihistamine unless specifically advised by a healthcare professional.
• Do not give if the child has epilepsy, porphyria, or hereditary fructose intolerance.
• Do not give if the child is taking or has taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) within the previous 14 days.
• Diphenhydramine can cause drowsiness. Dozol should only be used for sleeplessness when associated with the indicated conditions — it should not be used routinely to make a child sleep.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
• In the event of a suspected paracetamol overdose, seek immediate medical attention even if the child appears well — serious liver damage can occur.
