Duomed Soft Compression Calf Stockings are below-knee medical compression stockings designed to provide graduated compression for everyday leg support while maintaining a soft, comfortable and discreet appearance. Made by medi, the supple, breathable fabric adapts to movement and is intended primarily for the management of venous disorders and associated leg swelling. The Sand, Closed Toe, Large version provides full foot coverage and a natural-looking finish.

• Polyamide (57%) – provides a lightweight, smooth and durable fabric that contributes to the stocking's comfortable, breathable feel. medi lists 57% polyamide for its standard Compression Class 2 duomed construction.
• Elastane (43%) – provides the elasticity required to create controlled graduated compression and helps the stocking maintain a close, supportive fit around the leg. The standard CCL 2 duomed composition contains 43% elastane.

How to Use

Put the stockings on in the morning, ideally before significant leg swelling develops. Ensure the heel is correctly positioned and gradually distribute the fabric evenly up the lower leg without twisting, folding or allowing the material to bunch. The top should sit comfortably below the knee.

Correct sizing is particularly important with medical compression hosiery. For Large, medi specifies an ankle circumference of 25–27 cm and a calf circumference of 36–42 cm. Measure the ankle at its narrowest point and the calf at its widest point.

Compression stockings should be used at the appropriate compression level recommended for the individual. If compression hosiery has not previously been recommended for you, seek advice from a doctor, nurse or pharmacist, particularly if you have arterial circulation problems or other underlying medical conditions.
