Elastoplast Fabric Dressing Lengths 6cm x 1m is a cut-to-size fabric plaster for covering smaller cuts, grazes and scrapes. Cut the length you need to suit the wound, making it a practical addition to your everyday first-aid kit.

The flexible textile material stretches with the skin's movements, making it suitable for joints and other moving parts of the body. The breathable fabric allows skin to breathe, while the non-stick wound pad protects and cushions the wound. Strong adhesion helps keep the dressing firmly in place.

How to use

1. Clean the wound and gently remove any dirt or grit.
2. Gently dry the surrounding skin thoroughly.
3. Cut a piece large enough for the wound pad to cover the wound.
4. Apply without stretching and smooth down the adhesive edges.
5. Follow the pack instructions for dressing changes. Replace if the dressing becomes wet, dirty or loose, and monitor the wound regularly.

Wound-care routine

The existing Elastoplast care guidance recommends cleansing the wound before covering it. If using Elastoplast Wound Spray, spray from approximately 10cm, repeat if necessary and gently pat dry the surrounding skin. Follow the spray's own instructions.

Elastoplast also recommends its Wound Healing Ointment to support healing and help minimise scarring. If using it, follow the ointment's pack instructions, apply a thin layer once or twice daily and avoid touching the wound with the tube opening. Cover with an appropriate dressing if needed.

Safety advice

For minor wounds only. Children should use with adult supervision. Seek medical advice for deep, heavily bleeding or infected wounds, or if you have diabetes or poor circulation and are unsure about wound care. Stop use if irritation occurs. Single-use only. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
