Golden Eye Eye Drops is a non-prescription, pharmacy-only antiseptic medicine containing propamidine isetionate 0.1% w/v. It is used for minor local infections affecting the superficial structures of the eye, including conjunctivitis and blepharitis.

How to Use

For adults, elderly people and children: apply 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s), up to 4 times daily. Avoid touching the eye or surrounding area with the dropper tip.

If there is no improvement within 2 days, seek medical advice. Stop treatment and obtain advice if redness or inflammation becomes worse.

Important Information

• Do not wear contact lenses while using Golden Eye Eye Drops. The drops contain benzalkonium chloride, which may cause eye irritation and can discolour soft contact lenses. Wait 24 hours after finishing treatment before restarting contact lenses.
• Seek medical advice rather than self-treating if you have significant eye pain, changes or loss of vision, marked swelling, difficulty opening the eye, an eye injury, suspected foreign material or chemicals in the eye, or recent eye surgery/laser treatment.
• Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only following appropriate medical advice.
