HC45 Hydrocortisone Acetate Cream 1% is used to treat irritated, inflamed skin caused by conditions such as mild to moderate eczema and contact dermatitis. It’s also commonly used after insect bites, or for reactions to irritants like nickel, certain plants, or strong detergents.

The active ingredient, hydrocortisone acetate, is a mild corticosteroid that works by calming the skin’s inflammatory response — easing redness, itching and stinging, and helping the skin heal. It’s for short-term use only, applied sparingly to the affected area for up to a week at a time.

How to Use

For external use on the skin only.

• Apply a small amount sparingly to the affected area, 1–2 times a day.
• Use for a maximum of 7 days.
• Do not cover with a dressing or bandage.
• Suitable for adults and children aged 10 and over. Not recommended under 10 without medical advice.
• If symptoms haven’t improved after 7 days, or get worse, stop use and speak to a doctor or pharmacist.
