A sterile, absorbent wound dressing designed to protect and manage a range of exuding wounds. The soft silicone contact layer creates a non-adherent interface with the wound bed, helping minimise pain and trauma during dressing changes, while the highly absorbent construction manages wound fluid and a waterproof backing provides external protection
DRESSINGS ARE SOLD INDIVIDUALLY
Key Benefits
- Soft silicone wound-contact layer does not adhere to the wound bed
- Helps minimise pain and trauma during dressing changes
- Provides gentle, secure adhesion to the surrounding skin
- Highly absorbent construction helps manage wound exudate
- Helps reduce the risk of surrounding skin becoming macerated
- Waterproof backing provides a protective external barrier
- Soft and conformable for comfortable application
- Particularly useful where skin is sensitive or fragile
- Suitable for ulcers, skin tears, abrasions, blisters and skin graft sites
Construction
Performance comes from its multilayer construction:
-
Silicone Adhesive – creates a soft, non-adherent interface between the dressing and wound bed while providing gentle fixation to surrounding skin
-
Foam Layer – absorbs wound exudate and provides cushioning and protection
-
Super-Absorption Fibre – helps capture and retain wound fluid
-
Non-Woven Layer – forms part of the dressing's absorbent multilayer structure
-
Waterproof Backing – forms the outer protective layer while allowing the dressing to function as a wound covering
How to Use
- Clean the wound according to the wound-care plan and carefully dry the surrounding skin.
- Remove the dressing from its sterile packaging and remove the protective release layer.
- Apply the silicone side towards the wound, positioning the absorbent area over the wound and gently smoothing the adhesive border onto the surrounding skin.
- Change the dressing according to the level of wound exudate and the advice of a healthcare professional.
- When removing, gently lift the border and slowly peel the dressing away from the skin to minimise trauma.
For chronic, infected, deep, heavily exuding or slow-healing wounds, seek assessment and dressing advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
