Salactol Wart Paint is a topical treatment used to remove warts, verrucas, corns and calluses. It contains salicylic acid 16.7% w/w and lactic acid 16.7% w/w, which help soften and gradually remove thickened, hardened skin.

Supplied in a 10 ml bottle with an applicator for precise application to the affected area.

Who Can Use Salactol Wart Paint?

Salactol Wart Paint is suitable for adults and children when used according to the product instructions. Check the patient information leaflet or ask your pharmacist before use, particularly when treating children.

How to Use

Apply once daily, preferably at night.

1. Soak the affected area in warm water to soften the skin, then pat dry.
2. Gently rub away hardened skin using a pumice stone or emery board.
3. Using the applicator provided, carefully apply a few drops to the wart, verruca, corn or callus. Allow each drop to dry before applying the next.
4. Avoid contact with surrounding healthy skin.
5. Cover verrucas with an adhesive plaster, as directed.
6. Repeat daily according to the product instructions. Resistant lesions may take up to 12 weeks to disappear.

Side Effects and Precautions

• Skin irritation may occur at the application site.
• Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
• Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, mucous membranes and healthy skin.
• Do not apply to broken, inflamed or irritated skin.
• For external use only. Do not swallow or inhale the vapour.
• The product is extremely flammable. Keep away from flames and sources of ignition, and replace the cap tightly after use.
