The SELFCheck Iron Level Self-Test is a simple and reliable 10-minute finger prick blood spot test that shows if you have iron deficiency anaemia — from the comfort of your own home.
Iron deficiency anaemia is a common and major global public health problem. Women of childbearing age and pregnant women are at particular risk. Common symptoms include headaches, tiredness, lack of energy, palpitations and hair loss.
This test measures ferritin — a specific biomarker in the blood that is a more reliable indicator of iron deficiency anaemia compared to a full blood count. Knowing your iron level can help you seek timely advice from your pharmacist or doctor.
