Solpa-Extra uses a double-action formula — paracetamol and caffeine — to deliver fast, effective pain relief. The effervescent tablet is already dissolved in liquid before reaching your stomach, which is absorbed faster than a solid tablet. Caffeine is included specifically to enhance the pain-relieving effect of paracetamol, not just as a stimulant.
Dissolve in at least half a tumbler of water. The tablet takes up to 2 minutes to dissolve.
Speak to your pharmacist first if you have liver or kidney problems, are sensitive to caffeine, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are on a low-sodium diet.
Some people may notice mild restlessness or difficulty sleeping, particularly if taken later in the day. Rarely, allergic reactions can occur. If symptoms are severe or persistent, seek medical advice.

What's the dose for adults?
1–2 tablets dissolved in water every 4–6 hours, up to a maximum of 8 tablets in 24 hours.
How long does the tablet take to dissolve?
Up to 2 minutes.
Why does it contain so much sodium?
Effervescent tablets use sodium as part of the fizzing reaction. At 427mg per tablet, speak to your pharmacist if you are on a low-sodium diet.
Will the caffeine keep me awake?
It's possible if taken later in the day or combined with other caffeine sources. Consider timing your last dose earlier in the day if you're sensitive to caffeine.
Can I take this with other paracetamol products?
No — do not take with any other paracetamol-containing medicine, as this risks exceeding the safe daily limit and can cause serious liver damage.
Can children under 12 take this?
No, Solpa-Extra is not suitable for children under 12 years of age.
