In Ireland, hand sanitisers are regulated as PT1 human-hygiene biocidal products and must be appropriately registered before being placed on the Irish market. Ireland's DAFM advises consumers to check the registration number displayed on the product label. The label and registration number on the product being sold takes precedence over any older online ingredient information.
