Xailin Gel Lubricating Eye Gel 10g

When dry eyes need more than a standard drop, Xailin® Gel delivers. Its viscous carbomer 0.2% w/w formula uses mucoadhesive properties to coat and cling to the corneal and conjunctival surfaces, providing long-lasting relief from dryness, grittiness, discomfort and minor irritation throughout the day. One drop goes a long way.

How to Use

Apply 1 drop into the affected eye(s), usually 3–4 times daily as required (Irish HSE prescribing guidance: 1 drop 2–4 times daily as required). Follow the instructions supplied with your specific pack.

Wash and dry your hands, remove contact lenses, tilt your head backwards and gently pull down the lower eyelid. Apply one drop into the lower conjunctival sac without allowing the tube tip to touch the eye, eyelid or other surfaces. Blink several times to distribute the gel.

Important Formulation Note

There has been a formulation change. Older packs contain sodium perborate (a disappearing preservative). Current packs contain cetrimide instead. Always refer to the ingredient list and Instructions for Use supplied with your specific pack.

Contact Lenses

Remove contact lenses before applying Xailin® Gel. Wait at least 30 minutes before reinserting them.

Important Information

• Do not use if allergic to any ingredient or if the tube’s safety seal is damaged.
• Do not share the tube. Avoid touching the applicator tip against the eye or any surface.
• Temporary mild burning or blurred vision may occur immediately after application — wait until vision clears before driving or operating machinery.
• If using another ophthalmic treatment, leave at least 30 minutes between applications.
• Store according to pack instructions. Discard 28 days after first opening.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• If dry-eye symptoms persist or worsen, consult a pharmacist, optometrist or doctor.
