Daktarin Miconazole 2% Cream

Daktarin Cream is a topical antifungal treatment containing miconazole nitrate 2% w/w — a broad-spectrum antifungal agent that works by inhibiting the growth of fungi and yeast. It also has mild antibacterial properties, helping to prevent secondary infections in affected areas.

Used to treat fungal and associated bacterial infections of the skin, including those occurring on the hands, feet, outer ear, trunk and groin. Conditions include fungal nappy rash, ringworm, athlete's foot, thrush, and jock itch.

How to Use

• Wash your hands before and after use.
• Clean and dry the affected area before applying.
• Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area and gently massage in.
• Apply twice daily, or as directed by your healthcare provider.
• Continue using for at least one week after symptoms have cleared (typically 2–4 weeks in total) to ensure the infection is fully treated.

Precautions

• Do not use if you are allergic to miconazole nitrate or any other ingredient in the cream.
• Avoid contact with eyes, nose, or mouth.
• If symptoms are not improving or are getting worse, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Please contact your GP or hospital doctor before using if you are pregnant. Use is not advised while breastfeeding.
