Motilium 10mg contains domperidone, a medicine that helps relieve nausea, vomiting, bloating, and discomfort caused by slow stomach emptying. It works by improving the movement of the stomach and intestines, helping food pass more easily through the digestive system.
Active Ingredient
Each tablet contains 10mg of Domperidone as the active ingredient. Please see product packaging for a full list of other ingredients. Each pack contains 10 tablets.
How does Motilium work?
Domperidone belongs to a group of medicines known as dopamine antagonists. It works mainly in the gut by:
Speeding up stomach emptying
Increasing bowel movement
Reducing feelings of sickness
Who can use Motilium?
Motilium can be used by adults and children aged 12 years and over weighing over 35kg. Do not take Motilium if you have any underlying heart or liver condition. If you purchase it, we will check that it is safe to use with any other medicines you may be using.
Dose to use of Motilium
Adults and children aged over 12 years – take one tablet up to three times daily for a maximum of 3 days. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Please consult your doctor if your symptoms do not improve.
Side Effects
Like all medicines, Motilium may cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. These can include:
Dry mouth
Abdominal cramps
Headache
Rarely, irregular heartbeat
Seek medical attention if you experience dizziness, fainting, or palpitations.

Storage
Store Motilium tablets below 30ºC and remember to keep all medicine out of sight and reach of children. You should return any unused or date expired medicines to your pharmacist for safe destruction.
