How to take Nurofen 200mg tablets?
Adults and children from 12 years: take 2 tablets with water, then if necessary, 1-2 tablets every 4 hours (maximum 6 tablets in 24 hours).
Do not give Nurofen Tablets to children under 12 years.
Nurofen for Children have a separate range of products which are available for children from 3 months (weighing over 5 kg) to 12 years of age.

Nurofen 200mg Tablets
Nurofen 200mg Tablets are used to reduce inflammation, reduce temperature, and relieve mild to moderate pain associated with the following conditions
headache
dental pain
fever
period pain
muscle strain
head colds
backache
flu
osteoarthritis
They should only be used for short-term management.
Active Ingredient
Each tablet contains 200mg of Ibuprofen as the active ingredient. Please see product packaging for a full list of other ingredients. Pack size is 24 tablets.
Who can use Nurofen 200mg Tablets
Nurofen 200mg tablets can be used by adults and children aged 12 years and older.
Dose
Take two tablets to start followed by one or two tablets every four hours as required. Maximum dose is six tablets in 24 hours. Please consult your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen, or if you need to take the medicine for more than 10 days. Adolescents should consult a doctor if they need to take the medicine for more than 3 days.
Side Effects and Cautions
Reported side effects include headache, dizziness and difficulty sleeping. Please see product literature for a full list of possible side effects. Do not use Nurofen 200mg tablets if you are allergic to any ingredients; if you have cardiovascular disease including high blood pressure; diabetes; heart failure; severe kidney failure; over-active thyroid gland; history of stomach ulcer or bleeding; or closed angle glaucoma. Caution is required if you have a history of asthma or other breathing disorders.
Pregnancy or Breastfeeding
Do not use this medicine if you are in the third trimester of pregnancy. If you are in the first or second trimesters you should contact your GP or hospital doctor before use. Nurofen 200mg tablets are unlikely to affect breast fed infants.
How to Store Nurofen 200mg Tablets
Store Nurofen 200mg tablets below 25ºC and remember to keep all medicine out of sight and reach of children. You should return any unused or date expired medicines to your pharmacist for safe destruction.
